On Saturday, October 26 at 8 pm, Paul Brady, with a career cataloging over 40 years as a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, is one of Ireland's most highly regarded and successful artists. He crosses musical boundaries again and again, incorporating folk, rock, blues traditional Irish, and classic pop styles into his songwriting. Often classified as a musicians' musician, Brady's songs have been covered by such renowned artists like Bonnie Raitt, Tina Turner, Carlos Santana, and even Cher. Paul was a member of The Johnstons and recorded seven albums during his time with them. In the late 1970's, he went solo and his solo folk CD Welcome Here Kind Stranger won the Melody Maker Folk Album of the Year. Following this success, he released Hard Station in the early 80's that launched him as an Irish rock artist. He has since released numerous CDs and is highly regarded as the finest Irish singer-songwriter of his generation and received the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Irish Music Awards.
