All photos courtesy MPN Heather Atwood and Irma Cohen make Persian chicken stew, a recipe (see Page 10) for a Passover meal taken from “Our Best Recipes, the Temple Ahavat Achim Cookbook.” Temple members published the cookbook as one of the number of ways to raise money for the rebuilding fund of their synagogue, which was destroyed in the Middle Street fire of Dec. 15, 2007. The cookbook is available at the temple at 33 Commercial St. in Gloucester, and at Mark Adrian’s Shoes and The Bookstore, both on Gloucester’s Main Street.
