The Haggadah is the book that is read from and refered to throughout the Passover seder meal, instructing participants when to eat, drink, sing, ask questions, and narrate. It tells the Old Testament story of the life of the Jewish people in Egypt where they were held as slaves and their subsequent exodus from that country, and into the desert, to eventually arrive in the region now known as Israel.
