Adam Curcuru of Gloucester received a Purple Heart medal on Friday for his injury during his service as a lead gunner in the Third Battalion Sixth Marines in Afghanistan. His two sets of grandparents were on hand for the ceremony and were looking at the certificates he received. At far right is John "Gus" Foote, also a Purple Heart recipient and a longtime city councilor. Curcuru's grandparents, from left are: Joe Curcuru, Richard Camille, Phyllis Camille and Grace Curcuru.
