Meghan Cole of Gloucester, a 2005 graduate of Gloucester High School, who in April ran in the Boston Marathon for the first time, recently visited with fifth graders at Veterans Memorial Elementary School. She read "Rick's Story" with them. The story is about Dick and Rick Hoyt, the father/son marathon and triathalon team and the obstacles they had to overcome in their lives. She ran in the marathon with them. The story focuses on overcoming obstacles of all sorts, determination, perseverance and believing in oneself.
