Story, a replica boat, departs Gloucester on Tuesday to go to Somesville, Maine, on Mount Desert Island, to replicate a journey taken in 1762 by a family from Gloucester. The original boat was built in Essex and the replica was built there, too. With the boat on Monday in Gloucester are Jim Diedrich, on the board of directors of the Essex Shipbuilding Museum, Capt. Fritz Fuller and a crew member, Lincoln Williams.
