Desi Smith/Gloucester Daily Times. Conductor Yoichi Udagawa leads the Cape Ann Symphony on Thursday night at Manchester High School. Cape Ann Symphony under the music direction of Conductor Yoichi Udagawa presents thrilling heroic music from Beethoven and Tchaikovsky for the 61st season finale concert, Heroic Music for Mother's Day on Saturday, May 11 at 8:00 pm. at the Cape Ann Symphony's new home, Manchester-Essex High School Auditorium on 36 Lincoln St. in Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA. The concert program features Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings and Beethoven's Symphony No. 3 "Eroica" which is the first in Beethoven's series of three great heroic symphonies. The public is invited to Cape Ann Symphony's Open Rehearsal for The Heroic Music for Mother's Day Concert on Friday, May 10 from 7:30 pm until 9:00 pm.
