The rededication of the Patton Fields at Green Meadows Farm in Hamilton took place Saturday, Nov. 10. Pictured, from left, is Richard Barbato, new director of veteran's services in Gloucester; Joanne Patton, owner of Green Meadows Farm and widow of Maj. Gen. George S.Patton; Rev. Mark Delcuze, rector of St. John's Church in Beverly Farms; and Sen. Bruce Tarr. Beginning in 1980, Gen. Patton (son of World War II's Gen. Patton) began dedicating his farm fields to fallen heroes who had served with him. Joanne Patton continues that tradition, naming the 7th field for Operation Troop support to honor all who have served in harms' way. Courtesy photo/Gloucester Daily Times
