MIKE SPRINGER/Gloucester Daily Times Essex resident "Captain Stain" Collinson of the Crabgrass Band plays harmonica to accompany his wife Daisy Nell at Essex Elementary School. Nell has been working this fall with the Essex Elementary School music teacher, Rich Carpenter, as an artist in residence, playing folk music with various guest artists (including her husband this week) and teaching the students about the music's importance to cultures around the world. Students from each of the three second grade classes helped Nell write original lyrics, and the resulting songs will be performed at the school's holiday concert on December 19.
