Kevin Casey of Boston plays a revolutionary Sunday evening as the Beaver II, replica of the historic merchant ship raided in the Boston Tea Party on Dec. 16, 1773, is lit up Sunday on the dock next to the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum in Boston Harbor. The replica was built by Gloucester shipwright Leon Poindexter. On Sunday, to celebrate the 239th anniversary of the event that sparked the American Revolution, historic reenactors dressed in Colonial attire and gave a dramatic performance of the Tea Party and the gathering at the Old South Meeting House that immediately preceded it.
