ROCKPORT — Three people have been transported to local hospitals after a Gloucester-based school bus collided with a box truck collided this morning at around 8 a.m. at the Five Corners intersection in Rockport.

According to sources from the scene, those transported included the drivers of both the truck and the school bus — Bus No. 54 — and another person who was on board the bus, believed to be a monitor.

Reporters from the scene indicated that a number of children were on the mini-bus, and they were also transported as a precautionary measure, but none of the students were believed to have been seriously hurt.
