Taco maker
on the move
A local taco maker will take his wares over the bridge this weekend.
The Happy Taco, a food truck that calls downtown home, will participate in the Charles River Food Truck Festival on Saturday.
Participating trucks will serve up sample portions as well as meals, including lobster rolls, mac ‘n’ cheese, grilled cheese, hot dogs, barbecue ribs, desserts and more.
The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at
Artesani Herter Park, 1175 Soldiers Field Road in Brighton. Attendees purchase “taste tickets” to be used like currency at the trucks. There is no admission fee. For information please call 617-782-7117 or visit www.foodtruckfestivalsofne.com.
State sees 9 cent hike in gas prices
BOSTON (AP) — Massachusetts gas prices continue to climb, rising nine cents per gallon in the last week.
AAA Southern New England reported Monday that the average price of a gallon of self-serve, regular was $3.56.
It’s the second straight week of rising prices after an identical nine cent per gallon increase the week before.
Massachusetts prices are also nine cents above the national average. But they’re 18 cents lower than the statewide average a year ago at this time.
The latest AAA survey found Massachusetts self-serve regular prices as low as $3.35 and as high as $3.89.
