Suez LNG pulling out of city

The colossal tugboat Independence will sail out of Gloucester in a little over a month.
It and the Neptune LNG office below Cruiseport are moving to Charlestown when the company's lease runs out at the end of June.

DOT chief kicks off Chamber 'Power' series

When the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce kicked off its new "power luncheon" series at the Elks at Bass Rocks on Wednesday, it did so by featuring one of Gov. Deval Patrick's key cabinet leaders.
Richard Davey, the state's Secretary of Transportation and the CEO of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, told the gathering of more than 75 that he recognizes the state of the state's roads is not good, and said that while the state is investing in improvements, it is not at the level needed to address the state's needs.
