Goddard joins

J Barrett

Geoffrey R. Goddard, a full-time real estate salesman, has joined J Barrett & Company in the Gloucester office.

“The key to success in sales is commitment,” said Goddard, who has more than 14 years experience in sales and sales management. “My job is to help clients achieve their goals and that’s what I do best because I don’t give up.”

“Geoffrey’s successful record in sales and sales management is the result of his determination to serve his clients,” said Jon B. Gray, president, in a statement. “As a company we are fortunate to have someone with his ability on our team. Geoffrey’s clients will also benefit greatly from his experience and know-how.”

Real estate blends Goddard’s extensive business background and marketing skills, which include a strong focus on building relationships and customer service, with a keen interest in residential real estate. The long-time Rockport resident, who calls Pigeon Cove home, is enthusiastic about the Cape Ann area.

“I consider myself fortunate to live in such a beautiful region that has so much to offer,” Goddard said. “And being able to work here, too, means that I have the best of all possible worlds.”

Dugan promoted

at Forbes Media

Michael Dugan is being promoted to senior vice president of technology at Forbes Media. He is responsible for quality assurance and all software engineering teams that support both print and digital platforms.

Dugan joined Forbes in 2000 and has successfully led the company’s technology teams through several major site and system redesigns. The latest one, by far the most exciting, began with the introduction of the True/Slant Contributor Platform in 2010, which is continuously evolving as new product and technology milestones are released to Forbes production environments.

In addition to leading Forbes technology innovations, Dugan also sees that Forbes online systems are compliant with the latest in developing privacy guidelines and regulations. He works with a variety of web and advertising analytics partners to bring to Forbes as much insight into traffic sources, content consumption and participant behavior as can be discovered.
