Ledgewood names new executive director
Ledgewood Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Beverly recently promoted Judy H. Manchester, RN, MS, to the role of executive director. In her new position, Manchester will oversee the day-to-day operations of the 123-bed healthcare center, which is located on the upper campus of Beverly Hospital and provides both short-term rehabilitation and long-term care services.
A resident of Rockport, Manchester has been employed by Ledgewood for 12 years. Prior to her promotion, she served as Ledgewood's director of nursing. Before joining Ledgewood, she was the director of health services for Osram Sylvania.
"The Ledgewood staff and Board of Directors congratulate Judy on her recent promotion," said Laurie Roberto, area executive director of Ledgewood, in a statement. "She brings a tremendous amount of value to our organization and those we serve. We are very pleased to recognize her efforts and wish her the best with her new role."
Insurance agency celebrates 25 years
Cape Ann Insurance Agency Inc., 23 Dale Ave. in Gloucester, is celebrating its 25th anniversary during the month of June.
The agency offers personal and business insurance products from several diverse insurance carriers, and such extras as Saturday morning hours, in-agency issuance of Registry of Motor Vehicle license plates and renewals, on-site vehicle pre-inspections, and a low to no fee Registry runner service.
The agency, which opened at its present location with one employee, has grown to include eight employees with specialists for homeowners, auto and other personal lines insurance. It has a business and commercial insurance department, and a life and long term care insurance professional.

Apparel sales benefit Wellspring House
Seasons on Main, 130 Main St. in Gloucester, recently launched an apparel line, TownWear, which gives five percent of its sales to Wellspring House.
"Wellspring House has done a lot to help women in our community," said Nancy Hendrickson, owner of Seasons on Main, in a statement.
The TownWear line, which includes short- and long-sleeved T-shirts for adults and children, hooded sweatshirts and hats, features custom designs that spotlight points of interest in Gloucester.
