Northeast appoints therapist, director

Carolyn Cwalinski of Swampscott has been appointed physical therapist at Beverly-based Northeast HomeCare, Beverly and Addison Gilbert hospitals' Medicare-certified home care agency and a member of the Northeast Senior Health continuum of services.

Jack Good of Essex has been named to the board of directors of Northeast Senior Health, Beverly and Addison Gilbert hospitals' complete continuum of care for seniors on the North Shore.

Addison Gilbert Hospital, Beverly Hospital and Beverly Hospital at Danvers have received accreditation for their echocardiography laboratories, testing for the diagnosis of heart disease, from the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories.

Businesswomen's schooner cruise

The Cape Ann Chamber Businesswomen are planning a sunset networking cruise aboard the schooner Thomas E. Lannon.

The cruise, scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 16, will leave the Seven Sea Wharf, 63R Rogers St. (Rt. 127) at 5:30 p.m., returning at 7:30 p.m., and has proved a popular venue for local businesswomen to renew acquainteances and make new business contacts in a relaxing venue, while enjoying the beauty of Cape Ann's seascape.

Attire is casual, attendents should bring sweaters, jackets, and —to capture the spectaculars sights — cameras. Light refreshments are included in the cover charge of $25, payable in advance, and a cash bar will be available. Vendor, artisans wanted for Essex Clamfest

The Essex Division of the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce is seeking vendors for the 28th Essex Clamfest Artisans Fair, on Saturday, Oct. 23, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., in Memorial Park off Martin Street. Rain date is Oct. 24. Cost for participation is $45, $20 for nonprofits.

This event attracts thousands of visitors each year. Highlights include a chowder-tasting contest, entertainment, children's activities, artisan's wares and more. (Please note, drug paraphernalia, poppers, stink bombs, Silly String, invisible ink and weapons are not allowed.)
