A helping hand for veterans

---- — Cape Ann veterans have faced and survived war, but sometimes readjusting to the homefront and finding work is just as difficult.

The newly formed Global War on Terror Veterans Coalition held a forum recently to address and overcome some of those challenges, namely the high suicide and unemployment rates among young soldiers returning home.

Many former and active members of the military came to learn about the many services that are available to help them with any problems that may have effected them during their time of service and after.

More information about the coalition is available by contacting Richard Barbato at 978-281-9470 or Office of Veterans Services at 12 Emerson Ave., Gloucester.
