---- — Smith joins Cape Ann Savings Bank
Cape Ann Savings Bank has announced the recent hiring of Gloucester native Marianne Smith as vice president and treasurer.
Smith comes to Cape Ann Savings Bank with more than 20 years of banking and regulatory experience in the areas of finance, operations, regulatory reporting, balance sheet management, and oversight.
Smith began her career as a bank examiner with the Massachusetts Commissioner of Banks and was most recently vice president and controller of Northern Bank & Trust Company. She previously held positions at Eagle Bank, Meetinghouse Cooperative Bank and Gloucester Bank & Trust Company.
She is active in the community, serving on the Board of the Cape Ann YMCA. She is also an avid supporter of the organization Autism Speaks. She is also a member of the Financial Managers Society, Boston Chapter.
Smith resides in Gloucester with her husband and three sons.
