5-course meal offered for Restaurant Week

ROCKPORT — “Buy Local, Drink Global” is the mantra for the North of Boston Wine Week, taking place Sunday, Sept. 8, to Sunday, Sept. 15, when restaurants throughout Boston’s North Shore celebrate with special wine events. The Grand Cafe at Emerson Inn by the Sea will participate as an official participant with a five-course tasting menu and wine dinner on Monday, Sept. 9.

There will be one seating starting at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $95 per person plus tax and gratuity. The wine dinner will offer five courses paired with appropriate wines. Foods featured will include produce from Seaview Farm in Rockport, Lindley Farms in Essex, as well as artisan cheeses from Maplebrook Farms in Benington, Vt. Also, the menu includes craft-raised premium salmon from Skuna Bay, Vancouver, and award-winning charcuterie from La Quercia.

Maureen MacDonald, Head Vintner, and Cassidy Hill Vineyards, will be present to offer insight into the special wines selected.
