Molly A. Ziergiebel and James M. Anderson

Ann Mechem Ziergiebel is sharing her joy at the marriage of her daughter, Molly Ann, daughter of the late John Michael Ziergiebel, to James Michael Anderson, on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011. Molly was born and raised in Gloucester, went to Gloucester High School, and then received an undergraduate degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. After graduating from UMass, Molly received a Master's degree in Structural Engineering and Geomechanics at Stanford University.

Molly currently works as a vibration engineer at Noise Control Engineering in Billerica, a company which specializes in noise and vibration control of large marine vessels. Molly has worked in other various jobs, including as a lifeguard at Wingaersheek Beach, Gloucester, for a start-up engineering firm in Silicon Valley, Calif., as boat yard rat at Brown's Yacht Yard in Gloucester, and as a carpenter during college breaks.

James Anderson was born in Ely, England and spent the earliest part of his childhood in Norfolk, England. James spent the next years of his life in Saudi Arabia; Norfolk, England; Qatar; and Dubai, UAE. From the age of 10, James attended Gresham's School in Holt, England. After graduating, James took a year off to travel in Europe and South America. He then attended Bristol University and completed a Master's degree in Aeronautical Engineering with European Studies. While at University, James studied for a year in Stuttgart, Germany. Since leaving University, James has worked for three different engineering consultancies in the U.K., New Zealand, and now the US. He has also volunteered for Health Projects Abroad in Tanzania, Africa. Currently, he is the engineering manager for SP-High Modulus in the U.S.

Molly and James met in November 2007 during a kick-off meeting for a high-speed superyacht in Salem. James was there because the boat had to be super light. Molly was there because the boat had to be very quiet. (As an aside, these two engineering goals are at odds with each other).

Molly and James are sharing their vows and celebrating their love at the Annisquam Yacht Club, 17 River Road, Gloucester, with longtime family friend Dr. Christopher Dowell, officiating. Molly's attendants are: Jane Ziergiebel, maid of honor, in loving memory; Keara Watson; Sarah Thoms; Freya Hendrickson; and Monique Laidlaw. James attendants include: Chris Perry, Best Man, Rob Anderson, Nick Anderson, Andy Ziergiebel, and Sam Ziergiebel.

Molly and James want to tell you about their honeymoon when they return and are looking forward to putting down roots in Gloucester on the bank of the Annisquam River.
