CARE workshops are provided to active injection drug users at risk for hepatitis, overdose, HIV and other substance related health issues every Wednesday, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., in the Healy Room, Addison Gilbert Hospital, 298 Washington St., Gloucester. 978-236-0251.

Free blood pressure screenings:

Mondays, 1 to 3 p.m., Women’s Health Center, Addison Gilbert Hospital, Gloucester. Appointments not necessary. Not held on Monday holidays.

Wednesdays, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Rose Baker Senior Center, Gloucester.

Wednesdays, 2 to 5 p.m., Walgreens, Gloucester.

Thursdays, 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., Rite Aid Pharmacy, 127 Eastern Ave., Gloucester.

Free nicotine patches and information on quitting smoking is available for veterans and their families. Contact the Gloucester Office of Veterans’ Services at 978-281-9740.

Northern Essex WIC (Women, Infants and Children) is a nutrition program that provides nutrition and health education, healthy food and other services free of charge to Massachusetts families who qualify. The Cape Ann office is located in the Gloucester Family Health Center, 302 Washington St., Gloucester.

Yoga classes. Beginner’s Gentle Yoga offered every Saturday at 9:15 a.m. Tibetan Heart Yoga offered every Thursday at 7 p.m., and every Sunday at 9 a.m. All welcome. Meditate in a group setting with other practitioners every Tuesday, 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., at the Vajramudra Dharma Center, 154 Granite St., Rockport. Guided meditations in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition are followed by silent meditation and discussion. To register, email sangha@aci-capeann.org.

Recreational program for individuals who have had a traumatic brain injury. Offered by Community Enterprises, the group meets Thursdays and provides a variety of social and recreational activities. Call Barbara Fritz or Sandra Silva at 978-281-8889.
