Fish Landings

Cape Ann Seafood Exchange

The Cape Ann Seafood Exchange handled 21,000 pounds of fish Friday.

Top species landed and average prices were:

:Large hake: 4,200 pounds ($1.69)

Small yellowtail: 2,800 pounds ($1.77)

Sow hake: 1,800 pounds ($2.04)

Market cod: 1,700 pounds ($3.04)

Medium and small pollock: 1,400 pounds ($1.86)

Other landings

The Buyers And Sellers Exchange (BASE), an electronic auctioning company that sells landings at owner Whaling City Seafood Display Auction in New Bedford, Boston’s Whaling City Auction, and Gloucester’s Whaling City Auction, handled 28,500 pounds of fish and 17,000 pounds of scallops Thursday.

The Portland, Maine, Display Auction handled 28,000 pounds of fish Thursday.

No landings were reported Friday at the New England Fish Exchange in Boston.
