On Wednesday, May 1, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., the Rockport High School Quiz Team will serve a chicken and ribs dinner (courtesy of Outback Steakhouse) in the RHS cafeteria to raise funds for the trip to Atlanta to represent Rockport in the National Tournament of High School Quiz Teams. Tickets are $12. Tickets are available from team members or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Old Sloop Coffeehouse
Old Sloop Coffeehouse will present a performance by Garnet Rogers on Saturday, May 4, 7:30 p.m., at First Congregational Church, 12 School St., with Chris Pahud and Seth Connelly opening. Advance tickets are $16; visit www.oldsloopcoffeehouse.org, Gloucester Music, or Toad Hall Bookstore. Tickets, at the door, are $18 for adults, $10 for those 65 and older, $5 for those younger than 18, $24 per family. Bring nonperishable food items to be donated to The Open Door Food Pantry. Donors will receive a free drink.
Honors Youth Choir
The Honors Youth Choir of Chorus North Shore will present its spring concert, “Music Shall Live,” on Friday, May 3, 7 p.m., at the Shalin Liu Performance Center. The 50-member choir of youth, ages 10 through high school, comes from 16 communities across the North Shore. Tickets are $18; visit www.rockportmusic.org or call 978-546-7391.
