Concert to benefit upkeep of World War II Memorial at Kent Circle, 3 to 6 p.m., Gloucester House restaurant. Music by Cape Ann Community Big Band. $20 tickets available at Gloucester House or by calling Connie Condon at 978-283-4098. All proceeds benefit memorial. Door prizes and 50/50 raffle.

Cape Ann Forum, 7 p.m., Unitarian Universalist Church, corner of Church and Middle streets. Free and open to the public. Internationally-known conflict resolution expert Donna Hicks discusses importance of dignity in both causing and resolving clashes between individuals, groups and countries.

Financial aid night, 7 p.m., Gloucester High School lecture hall. Presented by Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority. For all senior students and parents. Students encouraged to attend. Learn how to apply for financial aid, compare award letters, and seek available financing options.
