Celtic Music Session, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Dog Bar, 65 Main St., Gloucester. In the style of an Irish house or pub “seisiun,” Michael O’Leary, Steve Levy, Linda Swicker and David de la Barre host an acoustic session of mostly traditional songs and tunes from the Celtic countries.

Brian O’Connor, 6 to 9 p.m., Giuseppe’s Ristorante and Piano Bar, corner of Main and Washington streets, Gloucester.
