Yard sale fundraiser
The Cape Ann Vernal Pond Team and Kestral Educational Adventures will hold the third annual fundraiser yard sale Saturday, May 25, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Commercial Street, next to St. Peter’s parking area. Rain date is Sunday, May 26. The team is accepting items in good condition: clothing, small furniture, books, toys, sports and household items. (No TVs or computers). Items may be dropped off from 7 to 9 a.m. Small items may be picked up and/or stored upon request. Call Cora at 978-281-5326.
The Annisquam Exchange, a nonprofit fine consignments shop is open for the season. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays, until June 8; after June 8, Mondays-Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A portion of consignments is gifted back to the community to help those in need.
City Councilor Jackie Hardy will be honored at a reception Saturday, June 22, 5 to 6:30 p.m., at the Gloucester House restaurant. Hardy represents Bay View, Annisquam and Lanesville, and serves as council president. Event will feature hors d’oeuvres and a program led by City Councilor Bruce Tobey. Proceeds benefit the new Gloucester Dog Park. Tickets are $100. For tickets, call Bruce Tobey at 978-968-8100 or Dick Wilson at 978-525-3293.
