Poets Corner: Retirement

Every day I go to work, love my job, but look forward to days off for vacations and holidays.

I say to myself, how wonderful it would be to get up late each morning and not have to go to work.

Retirement is around the corner. What would I say to myself? When the day comes, what am I going to do?

I can't keep taking cruises or trips — my money would run out.

Would I take up a hobby or be bored, or will old age get the best of me.

I will just have to wait and see.
