The Gloucester Fraternity Club, 27 Webster St., will hold a penny sale Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $.25 each. Prizes include sweet bread, groceries, baked goods and more.
Meditation & Music
The Gloucester Unitarian Universalist Church, corner of Middle and Church streets, will offer a one-hour Meditation & Music secular program Sunday, Sept. 29, at 7:30 p.m. Program is open to the public. A free-will offering will be taken.
Children’s Room benefit
Kids Unlimited and The Adventures of Scuba Jack will hold an event to benefit the Sawyer Free Library’s Children’s Room on Saturday, Oct. 5, 1 to 4 p.m., at Kids Unlimited, 123 Main St. Twenty percent of sales during the event will benefit the Children’s Room. Features Scuba Jack and his nautical friends, touch tanks, face-painting, tattoos, crafts, games, a prize wheel and more.
Coastsweep at Plum Cove Beach
The annual Laura Evans Memorial Coastsweep Cleanup at Plum Cove Beach will take place Thursday, Oct. 10, from 4 to 6 p.m. Rain date is Friday, Oct. 11.
