Fish Landings

Cape Ann Seafood Exchange

The Cape Ann Seafood Exchange handled 8,200 pounds of fish and 200 pounds of scallops Thursday.

Top species landed and average prices were:

Large hake: 2,600 pounds ($1.58)

Large monkfish, head on: 1,600 pounds ($1.48)

Large monktail: 500 pounds ($3.92)

Market cod: 400 pounds ($2.46)

Medium pollock: 400 pounds ($1.20)

Other landings

The Buyers And Sellers Exchange (BASE), an electronic auctioning company that sells landings at owner Whaling City Seafood Display Auction in New Bedford, Boston’s Whaling City Auction, and Gloucester’s Whaling City Auction, handled 58,300 pounds of fish and 17,000 pounds of scallops Thursday.

The Portland, Maine, Display Auction handled 7,000 pounds of fish and 400 pounds of scallops Wednesday.

No landings were reported Friday at the New England Fish Exchange in Boston.
