Friday, Oct. 4

Weekly playgroup for toddlers and preschoolers, 9 to 11 a.m., Manchester Community Center. Each week includes a theme and variety of activities for toddlers. Plenty to keep your infant entertained as well.

Monday, Oct. 7

Flu Clinics, 8 a.m. to noon, and 4 to 8 p.m., American Legion Post, (rear of town hall parking lot), sponsored by Manchester Board of Health, for residents age 18 and over only After-school book group meets, 3:30 p.m., Manchester Public Library.

Non-fiction Book Group meets, 7 p.m. to discuss ‘Heads in Beds: A Reckless Memoir of Hotels, Hustles, and So-Called Hospitality,’ a humorous memoir by Jacob Tomsky, a veteran employee in the hotel and hospitality industry.

Tuesday, Oct. 8

Seaside Garden Club’s ‘Fall Into the Holidays,’ 7 for 7:30 p.m., Manchester Community Center. A Home Décor Demonstration and Raffle by Bert Ford of Ford’s Flowers; chance to win one-of-a-kind arrangements. Light refreshments, open to all: $5 pp.

Preschoolers Story Time, 1:30 to 2:10 p.m., Children’s Room, Manchester Public Library.

COA’s fall prevention program, 10 a.m Plains Community Room. Manage concerns through group discussions, activities and exercise. Weekly classes run Tuesday and Friday mornings; COA van available: information/registration, at 978- 526-7500

Wednesday, Oct. 9

Flu clinic, 9 to 11 a.m., Manchester Town Hall, Room 5. Sponsored by the Manchester Board of Health, for residents age 18 and over only Manchester Council on Aging’s mystery ride, pick-up starts at 1 p.m.; return by 3 p.m. To register, call 978-526-7500.

TAB Teen Zone first meeting, 6:30 p.m., Manchester Public Library. Join this Teen Advisory Board’s weekly Wednesday meetings and earn community service hours. Grades 9-12 welcome to apply at library, or email acowman@mvlc.org.

Thursday, Oct. 10

iPad Appternoon!, for children ages 5-12, 3:30 p.m., Manchester Public Library. Discover Children’s Room iPads Apps for education and entertainment. Parents welcome. Register at 978-526-2016 or email scollins@mvlc.org.
