Essex Board of Health’s free shingles clinic, for residents over 60. Register at 978 768-7614. Those eligible will be notified of their appointment time. Some may be wait-listed till vaccine is available. Bring proof of residency and insurance information. Uninsured will not be turned away.

23rd annual Essex Firemen’s Spaghetti Supper, 4 - 7 p.m., Essex Fire Station, 24 Martin Street (Route 22). Homemade spaghetti and meatballs with salad, beverage and whip cream ginger bread. Donations at door; proceeds to the Fire Department Equipment fund.
Holiday Fairs at Essex Churches, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. All three downtown churches help warm-up the town for winter. On street parking, gift bargains, homemade food, hot beverages. A dollar goes a long way!

36th annual Turkey Trot Road Race, 1 p.m., Registration 10:30 a.m. to noon, upstairs at Woodman’s, 121 Main St. — 8K US Track and Field sanctioned event, as well as, an 8K “Fun Walk” — both ending at Woodman’s of Essex with complimentary chowder. Free Race T-shirt for first 200 paid registrations! Proceeds benefit Essex Lion’s Club projects and charities.
