There will be a cursillo ultreya and pot-luck supper Saturday, Nov. 9, at St. Ann Church, Holy Family Parish, Pleasant Street. The pot-luck is at 5 p.m., followed by the ultreya at 6 p.m. You need not have been on a cursillo encounter weekend to attend. Call Al Mitchell at 978-879-3655.
Thanksgiving food drive
The Open Door and North Shore 104.9 have teamed up for the Thanksgiving Food Drive on Saturday, Nov. 23. Food donations will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Market Basket at Gloucester Crossing, Stop & Shop on Thatcher Road, and Shaw’s on Eastern Avenue. ‘As You Like It’

Kids harvest party
Drop off the kids at the Gloucester United Methodist Church and enjoy a night out. On Friday, Nov. 8, from 5 to 8 p.m., the church is throwing a harvest party for all children ages 3-12.
