Rockport Goings On

Events listed here are open to the public and sponsored by nonprofit groups unless otherwise noted. Merrimack outlets

The Rockport Senior Center is offering a motor coach shopping trip to the Merrimack premium Outlets on Dec. 3, leaving from the Rockport Depot at 9 a.m. and departing the outlets for the trip home at 3 p.m. The cost is $10, and is due when signing up. For more information, Call 978-546-2573.

Salem Cross luncheon

The Rockport Senior Center heads out by motor coach to Salem Cross Inn on Dec. 10th, for a luncheon, and shopping at Yankee Candle’s Bavarian Christmas Village in Deerfield, then to Bright Nights, New England’s most elaborate light display, the motor coach will take you on a viewing tour of the artistry of the lights. The cost is $68, and is due when signing up. Call 978-546-2573 for more information.

Computer classes

The Rockport Senior Center’s beginner computer classes are Wednesdays, Nov. 6-27, 10 to 11:30 a.m. Learn the basics, four sessions/$40; Intro to Facebook, 1 to 2:20 p.m., Wednesdays, Nov. 6-27. Learn to set up an account, and all the important privacy settings, create posting and messages, and have fun, joining the world of Facebook.

Traveling chef

On Nov. 6, the traveingchef visits Rockport Senior Center to cook up Brazilian BBQ, chicken craved off the skewer, rice and bean pilaf, creamed spinach, Brazilian cheese bread, dulce de leche cake; all for $3 per person. Please call Freda for reservations, 978-546-5027.
