Friends of the Library book donation drop-off day, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Books, paperbacks, DVDs, VHS tapes and CDs in good condition. No encyclopedias, magazines or condensed books.

“Write Time,” a writing workshop for seniors, 1 to 2:30 p.m., Manchester Community Center. Catherine F. Robertson, local author of “Life in Violet,” leads class. Learn to write fictional short stories and/or memoirs. $35 for six weeks. Registration necessary; call 978-526-7500.

Sons of the American Legion’s St. Patrick’s Day dinner and raffle, 6 p.m., Legion Hall. Dinner tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at door. Raffle tickets are $25. Only 100 tickets sold. For tickets, stop by hall.
