On Saturday, March 9, from 3 to 5:30 p.m., Gloucester High School will host five live wrestling matches. A referee will determine the winners based on points or pins in these three-round-bouts. Team members, ages 10-14 will be featured. A suggested $5 donation will be accepted at the door for fans ages 12 and up. Concessions will be available for purchase. Come watch your home-town-athletes fight to build their program and for fun. There will be a support outing to follow at La Trattoria. La Trattoria is graciously donating a portion of the proceeds to our team.”
The Fundraising Committee of the First Baptist Church, 38 Gloucester Ave., is sponsoring a St. Patrick’s Day boiled dinner on Saturday, March 16, at 5 p.m. The menu includes smoked shoulder ham or corned beef, dessert and beverage. The Cape Ann Emergency Planning Team and Boards of Health will present “Cape Ann Mosquito Forum — Health Risks and Control” on Thursday, March 7, 6 to 8 p.m., at Cruiseport Gloucester, lower level, 6 Rowe Square. Free parking is available. There is no fee and preregistration is not required.
