Senior time at the Ipswich YMCA, 11 a.m.

Memories of an Essex boyhood, at 7:30 p.m.. with author Robert Benjamin at the Essex Shipbuilding Museum’s Waterline Center. Benjamin is currently working on a fictional novel set in Chabacco Parish during the War of 1812. Admission: $8, members $10, nonmembers.

Essex Democratic Party meets, 6:30 p.m., upstairs at Essex Senior Center with Lysa Leland.

Knitting group meets, 7 p.m., downstairs, Essex Senior Center

Yankee Networkers Chapter of BNI’s networker breakfast, 7 to 8:30 a.m., Farm Bar & Grill, 233 Western Ave. Visitors are welcome to join this weekly business referral event.
