Winter art

Rockport Art Association’s winter/spring studio classes start Jan. 8, and meet in the RAA studio located on Stone Barn Lane ($75 for a 5-week session, Drop-ins $20 per class) Space is limited, pre-registration is strongly recommended. Classes are as follows.

Tuesdays — Oil Painting For All Levels with Ron Straka, 9:30 a.m. — 12:30 p.m.

Winter Session I, Jan. 8 — Feb. 5

Winter Session II, Feb. 12 — March 12

Spring Session I, March 19 — April 16

Spring Session II, April 23 — May 21

Wednesdays — Watercolor For All Levels with Caleb Stone, 1 — 4 p.m. $75 for a 5-week session.

Pilates Yoga

Rockport Recreation’s Pilates Yoga strength training class in Monday, Jan. 7, from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. at Rockport Community House, 58 Broadway. The full six week course is $30. For more information, call Caitlin Chandler 978-546-1309

Hip Hop Hula

Sunset Pilates

Spiran Lodge

Members of Spiran Lodge 98 will meet Friday, Jan. 4, 7 p.m., at the Lodge Hall. For membership inquiries, call 978-546-3223.

Democratic Town Committee

The Rockport Democratic Town Committee will meet Saturday, Jan. 12, 10:30 a.m., in the Brenner Room, Rockport Public Library. Agenda includes a discussion of the committee’s future direction, establishment of subcommittees, planning for the caucus of February or March, and other items of concern.
