Bird Origami with Laura Geggis, 2 p.m., Manchester Public Library. Designed for ages 8 and older; OK for experienced 7 year olds and adults. Registration required.

“Bibles and Bagels,” led by Dr. Judy Haley of First Parish Church, 9:15 to 9:40 a.m., conference room at 1 Chapel Lane. Find out how to read the Bible with greater understanding and insight.

Monday, Jan. 14

Council on Aging knit and crochet group, 3 p.m., Plains Community Room. Compare knitting notes, get help on a project, learn a stitch, meet new friends. Transportation available. 978-526-7500.

Tuesday, Jan. 15

Free community flu clinic, for those six months of age and older, 9 to 11 a.m., Addison Gilbert Hospital cafe, Gloucester. (Use Fisher Lobby entrance.) Sponsored by Gloucester Health Department. No fee or preregistration required. Wear short-sleeved shirt. All welcome.

Wednesday, Jan. 16

Mother Goose Story Time, for infants through age 2, 10:30 to 10:50 a.m. Simple rhymes, stories and instruments. In the Reading Room while the Children’s Room is being renovated.
