“Power of the Purse” event, sponsored by Women’s Fund of Essex County, 6:30 to 9 p.m., Brookwood School, Manchester. Hors d’oeuvres and wine, and raffle featuring chances to win distinctive purses and bags donated by renowned designers and retailers.
