THANK YOU NOTES

Rockport Earth Day Cleanup

Wow! What a great day it was in Rockport on Saturday, April 21!

The Rockport Conservation Commission and the Rockport Department of Public Works would like to send out a great big thank you to these groups for their help in this year's Rockport Earth Day Cleanup: The Mill Brook Meadow Association, the Rockport Garden Club, the Friends of Andrew Woods, the Rockport High School Environmental Club and the Rockport Rights of Way Committee who cleaned up Andrews Woods, the Atlantic Path, and Reed Lane.

Also, thanks to Martha Finta, Maureen McCarthy & Frank Simmons for helping clear trash along Poole's Lane near Mill Brook with the Conservation Commission members.

It was a great day for cleaning up and that was evidenced by all the activities, as well as the number of green and black trash bags and piles of brush left for the Department of Public Works to retrieve this week!

Let's continue to keep Rockport's public places and open spaces litter-free all year long.

If you see litter in public places, please pick it up and dispose of it properly. Thanks again for all the hard work!
