Gloucester Goings On

Events listed here are open to the public and sponsored by nonprofit groups unless otherwise noted. Foreclosure Prevention

For all of Cape Ann there will be a free two-hour seminar for homeowners struggling with their mortgage on Thursday, April 25, at 6 p.m. at the Rockport Inn & Suites at 183 Main Street, Rockport. Neighborhood Legal Services will present the Making Home Affordable federal modification program, and counselors will be on hand to help with the loan modification process. Attendees will also learn about the Attorney General’s new HomeCorps program and about SUN/Boson Community Capital. Theatre in the Pines

Horton Foote’s “Dividing the Estate” will be performed May 9, 10, 11 at 7:30 p.m. and May 12 at 3 p.m. at the Spiran Hall (corner of Broadway and School Street, Rockport). This story of old resentments and sibling rivalries surfacing in a hilariously dysfunctional family is performed by cast members including Scott Hazzard, Kierstin Hazzard, Sarah Clark, Sue Barratt Souza, Rick Doucette, Eileen Fitzgerald, Mark Natti, Patti Natti, Ruth Exama, Alexa Exama, Patricia Richards and Carl Pulkkinen, in a production mounted by Randy Dupps, Stage Manager, Frank Walcott, technical director and set-design and production manager, Martin Ray.
