Rockport Goings On

Events listed here are open to the public and sponsored by nonprofit groups unless otherwise noted. Crafters sought

South End cocktail party

The South End Association will hold a fall cocktail party Saturday, Oct. 20, 6 to 8 p.m., at the Thompsons, 4 Ruthern Way. Bring an appetizer to share. BYOB.

Benefit concert

The Cape Ann Vernal Pond Team and Kestrel Educational Adventures will host its third annual benefit concert and silent auction Saturday, Nov. 3, at Woodman’s, Essex Room, 127 Main St., in Essex. Entertainment provided by Entrain. Admission is $20. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the door. ‘After the Move’ workshop

“After the Move,” a class for new homeowners will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 23 and 24, 6 to 9 p.m., at the Gloucester Housing Authority, 259 Washington St., Gloucester. Local professionals discuss equity loans, refinancing, preventing foreclosure, maintenance, tax issues, home safety, and landlord/tenant issues. Class is HUD and MHP certified.
