Gloucester Goings On

Events listed here are open to the public and sponsored by nonprofit groups unless otherwise noted. Please include a contact person’s name and telephone number and send at least two weeks prior to the event. The Times will do its best to run the announcement at least once prior to the event. Due to the volume of goings on listings received by the paper, listings are alternated once they run and the same listings are not printed every day.

Crafters sought

Crafters are sought for the annual Rockport PTO holiday fair on Saturday, Nov. 17. Space fills up quickly and is limited so reserve your eight-foot table now. To sign up, contact Amy Kamm at 978-546-5138 or ajkamm93@gmail.com.

Parent support group

HEART, a group founded by mothers of gay children on Cape Ann, meets monthly to share thoughts and experiences and to offer support to other parents of gay children. Whether your child is 5 or 35 you are welcome to join us in a safe, comfortable setting. Meetings are one morning a month. Memorial scholarship fundraiser

A fundraiser to benefit the Sandra “Sandy” Orlando Memorial Scholarship Fund will take place Wednesday, Nov. 7, from 5 p.m. until closing, at Giuseppe’s Ristorante & Piano Bar, 2 Main St. A percentage of the night’s proceeds will benefit the scholarship fund. A 50/50 raffle will take place; tickets are $20 each. For tickets, email sjomemorialscholarship@gmail.com.
