Marine weather for Cape Ann

Coastal waters east of Ipswich Bay and the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary.

Small craft advisory in effect through this evening.

Today, south winds 15 to 20 knots, diminishing to 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon. Gusts up to 30 knots. Seas 4 to 7 feet. Patchy fog. Showers. Visibility 1 nautical mile or less.

Tonight, south winds 10 to 15 knots with gusts up to 25 knots. Seas 4 to 6 feet. Patchy fog. Showers. Visibility 1 nautical mile or less.

Thursday, south winds 5 to 10 knots with gusts up to 20 knots, becoming west in the afternoon. Seas 4 to 6 feet. Patchy fog. Showers likely. Visibility 1 nautical mile or less.

Thursday night, west winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet. Chance of showers.

Friday, northwest winds 10 to 15 knots, becoming north in the afternoon. Seas 3 to 5 feet.

Friday night, northwest winds around 10 knots. Seas 2 to 4 feet.

Saturday, north winds around 10 knots. Seas 2 to 4 feet.

Saturday night, southwest winds around 10 knots. Seas 2 to 3 feet.

Sunday, southwest winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 2 to 4 feet.

Sunday night, southwest winds 10 to 15 knots with gusts up to 20 knots. Seas 2 to 4 feet.
