Three Poems

Gloucester Daily Times

What is a poem?

It is words that rhyme.

Why, yes, it is,

But only some of the time.

What does it say?

And what does it mean?

Should it be heard?

Or even be seen?

Who writes these poems?

Is it something they feel?

Maybe it’s just words,

But it is for real.

I like writing poems.

It makes me feel good.

It soothes my heart

Like I knew it would.
