Where Are the Boats

Where are the boats

I used to see

In our fair harbor

It bewilders me

Where are the masts

Reaching for the sky

I do not see them

Even though I try

Where are the sails

That we all tended

And that torn trawl

That must be mended

But the sea looks empty

Of all the floats

And I still wonder

Where are the boats
