Fish Landings

Cape Ann Seafood Exchange

No report was received Wednesday from the Cape Ann Seafood Exchange, but the exchange handled 28,400 pounds of fish Monday, and 28,300 pounds Tuesday.

Top species landed Tuesday and average prices were:

Medium and small pollock: 8,000 pounds ($1.42)

Ocean perch: 3,100 pounds ($1.12)

Scrod haddock: 1,800 pounds ($2.49)

Large monktail: 1,600 pounds ($4.27)

Small greysole: 1,300 pounds ($2)

Other landings

The Buyers And Sellers Exchange (BASE), an electronic auctioning company that sells landings at owner Whaling City Seafood Display Auction in New Bedford, Boston’s Whaling City Auction, and Gloucester’s Whaling City Auction, handled 55,900 pounds of fish and 6,700 pounds of scallops Monday, and handled 23,100 pounds of fish and 5,900 pounds of scallops Tuesday. No report was received Friday.

The Portland, Maine, Display Auction handled 47,500 pounds of fish Monday and 10,400 pounds Tuesday.

No landings were reported Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday at the New England Fish Exchange in Boston.
