Gloucester Goings On

Events listed here are open to the public and sponsored by nonprofit groups unless otherwise noted. Christmas tree pick-up

On Saturday, Jan. 12, Boy Scout Troop 20 will pick up Christmas trees for recycling, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.. Trees must be free of ornaments, lights, stands and be outside prior to our arrival; a $4 donation supports troop 20. Ton ‘a Tuna

The Open Door will be hosting a food drive on Saturday, Jan. 19, at Market Basket in Gloucester from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to collect 2,000 pounds of canned tuna to stock the food pantry in the coming months. The food drive is planned to coincide with Martin Luther King, Jr. National Day of Service projects across the country that weekend. TRIAD Counsel
