The Essex Democratic Committee will be holding a Caucus to elect delegates for the MA Democratic Convention to be held on June 1 in Lowell. The love letters of John and Mary Adams will be followed by a Winfrey’s fudge and chocolate buffet on Friday Feb. 8, when the Essex Historical Society and Shipbuilding Museum’s presents Adams scholars and living history performers, Patricia Bridgman and Thomas Macy, sharing the intimate correspondence of one of America’s most treasured historical couples. You’ll be transported back in time, as you bear witness to their legendary devotion, artfully presented on the stage at the First Congregational Church on 39 Main St., Essex, starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available online at: essexshipbuildingmuseum.org. $10 pp, advance $15 at the door; and $5 students.
