Public forum, sponsored by Conomo Point Planning Committee and Conomo Point Commissioners, 7 p.m., Essex Elementary School. Consulting design firm Brown Sardina presents final recommendations for future public waterfront access amenities and overall planning for area.

Friday Feb. 8

“The Love Letters of John and Abigail Adams,” 7:30 p.m., First Congregational Church, 39 Main St. Followed by a chocolate buffet. Presented by Essex Historical Society and Shipbuilding Museum. Features Adams’ scholars and living history performers Patricia Bridgman and Thomas Macy. Advance tickets are $10 per person; visit www.essexshipbuildingmuseum.org. $15 at door, $5 for students.

Saturday, Feb. 9

Essex Democratic Committee Caucus, 9:45 a.m., Senior Center, 17 Pickering St. Doors close at 10 a.m. To elect delegates for the Massachusetts Democratic Convention to be held on June 1 in Lowell. Refreshments served. Call Lysa Leland at 978-768-7006.
